In 1996, Stacy graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC San Diego's honors program in Cultural Anthropology. Focused on the intersection between culture, leadership and community, Stacy planned on taking a year off and then going to graduate school. After working in sales and marketing for a year, Stacy was hooked. As someone trained to understand, communicate and relate to others, Stacy has been a successful sales, marketing and real estate entrepreneur for over 25 years.
During Covid, Stacy's daughter, Emily, was getting ready to apply to college. Stacy called multiple college counselors and they were all very
helpful when she asked them questions, but she didn't know what to ask. Plus, none of them had a simple, systematic, step-by-step approach to help Emily understand the college application process.
As a successful, high-end sales person, this was a must! Stacy was used to checklists, systems and processes. That is how she learned to run a business, market herself and manage the complex world of high end sales.
Stacy created an easy-to-use, personal system that helped Emily discover her passion, maximize her academics, enhance her activities and focus on her core values so she could position herself to best meet a college's institutional needs.
Excited to learn more about college applications, Stacy spent 100s of hours listening to podcasts, reading books, watching tutorials, attending seminars and eventually getting her Professional Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego. College applications are a vehicle to tell your story and Stacy's job is to help you tell that story in the clearest, most direct way possible.
The best part is that the program worked! Stacy's daughter got into her top 2 college choices and Stacy found a new career passion. With a solid client base, Stacy has found that she can help other teens and parents navigate the college application process, position themselves for success and take the stress out of the college "application season".
